We followed a signal from the desert — and found a future stranger than fiction.

“WHERE WE’RE GOING WE DON’T NEED ROADS…”
Somewhere out in the of the Spanish desert, an aging, British inventor named Laurence believed that the world could be saved by UFOs… sorta. Think more, replacing traditionally fuelled vehicles with zero-emission aircraft that used gyroscopes as propellers. But no one seemed to care about his designs. Until House of Greenland and a documentary crew got involved.
FICTION INTO FACTS
Bringing Laurence from the desert to the top physics and engineering labs of London, we crafted a story that challenges how we all look at the world we’re in, the world we’ll leave behind, and the ones we dream about. The project was awarded Best Public Pitch at Docs Barcelona 2020 and in 2025, has been selected for two major international documentary festivals.
